Signature Sound[]

Pitts is known for being a creator of the plugg subgenre of trap music. His beats tend to be low-tempo and relaxed, typically with tempo 130 and 145 BPM. Melodically, he tends to use electric piano sounds for foundational/main melodies and chords with bell and square, sine, and saw synth leads as counter melodies. He tends to use strings, synth pads and synth arpeggios/arps as melodic ambiances. Drum wise, he tends to use minimalistic hi-hat patterns supplemented with different percussion (shakers, rimshots, and miscellaneous percs) layers to fill the rhythmic spaces of his beats. He uses claps on the third beat rather than snares, which are often used on the half beats in plugg-style beats. In terms of bass, he tends to either use subby 808s (such as his signature Plugg 808, inspired by the legendary Zaytoven 808) or outright sub-bass sounds rather than more distorted and hard-hitting 808s of other types of trap music.
